A question: Lula himself and expressed misgivings about some of Maduro's rhetoric before the election and said he was going to send his own group of Observers. Do you know if their findings have been released to the Press?
Lula and Maduro had a theatrical spat the week before the election, which took a lot of pressure of of Lula in the Brazilian press, which is heavily aligned with the US State Department and has been labeling him as a "dictator-lover" for years. He sent his most trusted advisor, Celso Amorim, to Brazil to monitor the elections and he's still there. Last Monday he said he is certain that this election was totally normal but they are waiting for the disaggregated data to be released to make an official announcement on the elections. The National Election Council website has been down since election night due to multiple cyber attacks and, although it is impossible to hack into the electronic voting machines, their computer system for tallying the votes has been compromised, which is why it is taking longer than normal to produce the complete voter records - something that normally takes weeks in the US.
Thank you Brian for showing the world what was happening during the Venezuelan election. It's so obvious what the anti-Maduro factions are doing to disrupt the vote and to cause chaos. This is the only way that the imperial North and its opposition thinks that they can win the vote of the people. The Venezuelan people have been through these tactics many times before and they won't fall for it again. Let truth and justice prevail in Venezuela and around the world. Power to the people! Viva Venezuela!
Thanks for this, Brian.
